MarkdownIP (Internet Protocol) handles addressing and routing packets across networks.
At a high level: IP gets packets from source to destination, while protocols like TCP or UDP define transport behavior.
Modern networking depends on both IPv4 and IPv6 realities, plus the routing glue between them.
