The Photoelectric Effect
MarkdownThe Photoelectric Effect is the emission of electrons from a material when light of sufficient frequency hits it.
Albert Einstein explained it using quantized light (photons), which was a major pillar of early quantum theory.
Important detail: intensity alone is not enough if frequency is below threshold.
